I am a Kaiser member and am looking for a size-positive (or at least not completely negative) doctor in the Kaiser system.
I just got insurance for the first time in awhile and am really intimidated by the medical system. I have a few health issues to deal w/ that I can't continue to ignore, but (like so many other fat folks) I have had such shitty experiences with most medicine that I don't really want to go in.
Ideally s/he would be in Oakland, queer (or queer positive), have a harm reduction approach, and have some experience with women's health issues including PCOS. Honestly though I would be happy to have anyone who doesn't assume all my health issues are about my weight and who doesn't talk down to me (and I am willing to go to both Kaiser SF and Kaiser Richmond for care). Thanks for any and all suggestions.
